On April 20th, SunRui has successfully held the “2023 Methanol-Powered Ship Forum and GasLink® Marine Methanol Fuel Supply System (hereinafter called LFSS) Product Release Conference” in Qingdao. Representatives from nearly 100 famous shipowners, shipyards, classification societies, Engine Suppliers, Design Institutes and SunRui partners attended this conference to witness the global launch of SunRui LFSS.
At the beginning of the conference, Mr. Xu, the deputy director of the 725th Research Institute of CSSC, has expressed his sincere welcome to the guests and warm congratulations on the opening of this forum. “The carbon peak target of China and the IMO environmental regulations are guiding the shipping industry to a greener future,” said by Mr. Xu, “as a liquid fuel with natural advantage of emission reduction that exists at normal temperature and pressure, methanol fuel is getting gradual attention from majority of ship owners in recent years. In the context of fast-developing methanol-powered shipping industry, this forum aims to build a professional learning exchange platform for the design, construction, supporting technology and green methanol supply of methanol-powered ships, and jointly progress new driven force to the industry development.”
The Deputy Secretary-General of China Shipowners' Association (CSA), Mrs. Huang also expressed her congratulation on the opening of this forum. “It is impressive that SunRui has fully grasped the development demand of green energy and successfully published series of alternative fuel supply systems for LNG, Methanol and Ammonia fuels,” said by Mrs. Huang, “with mature technology and world-class deliver ability, SunRui has gained high reputation in the field of shipping product market globally, and the CSA is willing to strengthen the cooperation with SunRui to further promote health development of the shipping industry.”
Afterwards, the guest representatives of the shipping industry made important speeches including the development of marine alternative fuels, understanding of relevant regulations, and outlook, design and construction of methanol-powered ships. The speeches had great resonance with the audience and brought enthusiastic discussions of the speech topics.
The deputy general manager of SunRui, Mr. Guo has introduced the R&D history, core modules and functional advantages of GasLink® LFSS to the present guests in detail, outlined the technological breakthroughs of the system, and analyzed economic and social benefits brought by the LFSS during the conference. The introduction has greatly enhanced the audience’s understanding of SunRui GasLink® LFSS and get the audience be ready for the following visit to the prototype test.
At the test site of the GasLink® LFSS, the support team introduced operation mode, functions and principles of each module of the system in a professional manner, meticulously answered all questions from the visitors, and conducted a practical operation demonstration of GasLink® LFSS. During the demonstration, stable and smooth operation of the system under different working conditions were successfully presented to the visitors in the central control room.
Lastly, in the witness of all the guests, the awarding ceremony of the State of Fact Certificate (SOF) from the class society to SunRui GasLink® LFSS was successfully held. The General Manager of SunRui, Mr. Fu accepted the SOF certificate from Mr. Hu who is the Director of Product Division of Qingdao Branch of China Classification Society.
In the context of emission control in the global shipping industry, green methanol has attracted gradual attention of more and more shipping countries and enterprises for its advantages of safety, economy and environmental protection. After the successful launch of GasLink® LNG FGSS, SunRui has actively responded to the development trend of clean energy and global market, and published GasLink® LFSS with class approvals from CCS, LR, and ABS etc. According to the actual needs of customers, SunRui is able to provide integrated turn-key solution of methanol bunkering, storage, transfer and supply, and also customized supply scheme of the LFSS.
