On February 5, SunRui completed the construction of the world's largest wind-assisted propulsion prototype-a massive Ф5m x 35m Rotor Sail-at their Dalian base. The launch of this product marks a significant breakthrough in China's large-scale marine wind technology, filling a critical gap in the country's independent research and development, as well as manufacturing, of such equipment.
By overcoming key technical challenges in composite outer cylinders, support towers, high-efficiency transmission, and hydraulic control systems, the two companies have successfully created a flagship product with immense scale and power. Leveraging lightweight design and precision manufacturing, the rotor sail achieves industry-leading energy efficiency while ensuring mass uniformity and dimensional consistency meet top-tier international standards.
This milestone not only demonstrates Sunrui's technical prowess in marine clean energy equipment but also provides a high-potential solution for reducing carbon emissions in the global shipping industry. A strategic cooperation agreement was signed on-site, committing both parties to deepen their collaboration, accelerate the commercialisation of rotor sail technology, and jointly drive the development of green shipping worldwide.
