Sacrificial anodes commonly used in offshore facilities and offshore engineering include support anodes, bracelet anodes and claw anodes. Offshore jacket structure, wind power pile structure and offshore platform structure adopt support anode; Bracelet type anode or claw type anode is adopted for submarine oil production pipeline to protect submarine steel structure.
The anode has passed the one-year formal approval test of DNV. The mean current capacity of the sacrificial anode material after 12 months galvanostatic control testing is 2478 Ah/kg. The closed circuit potential is in the range -1053 to -1084 mV vs. Ag/AgCl seawater. Approval is given for use in sea water at temperatures below 3ºC. The Aluminium Alloy Sacrificial Anode for Cold Seawater can also be used at higher temperatures up to 30°C.
